Ave Maria, Bach/Gounod, ft. Strings

This live recording of the Ave Maria (Bach/Gounod) is from Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Florida. I am the vocalist, and the string duo is Robert Radliff on the violin and Tracey Kinnunen on the viola. We make a pretty awesome team, don't we?

The Ave Maria is the words of the Hail Mary prayer, announced by the angel Gabriel to our Blessed Mother at that moment when she said yes to God, accepting the mission to become the mother of Christ and in turn the mother of all believers.

Lyrics:
Ave Maria (Hail Mary)
Gratia plena (full of grace)
Dominus tecum (the Lord is with you.)
Benedicta tu in mulieribus  (Blessed are you among women)
Et benedictus fructus ventris tui Jesus (and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.)
Sancta Maria, Sancta Maria, Maria (Holy Mary, Holy Mary, Mary),
Ora pro nobis (pray for us)
Nobis peccatoribus (us sinners)
Nunc et in hora, in hora mortis nostrae (now and at the hour, the hour of our death).
Amen, Amen.

Melody composed by Charles Gounod, set over the Prelude in C by J.S. Bach.
Words announced by the angel Gabriel to Mary, also represented by the Hail Mary prayer.
